Update: Xur has packed it in this week. Here’s where to find Xur and what Exotics he’s selling for the weekend of July 29-August 2.
Xur’s weapons might be on the weak side this week in Destiny 2, but he’s seriously making up for it with some god roll Exotic and legendary armor you’re going to want to pick up. All three characters have a few things that are worth getting, and Xur offers a few hand cannons and other items that might make the game’s Solstice summertime celebration go a little easier for you. Here’s where you can find Xur this weekend and what Exotics he’s selling.

Now Playing: Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Xur Location for July 22nd, 2022
This week you can find Xur on Nessus, in the Watcher’s Grave area. For his weapon, Xur is offering The Queenbreaker. Hunters can pick up the Knucklehead Radar helmet; Titans can grab Armamentarium chest armor; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Starfire Protocol chest armor. Xur’s Hawkmoon carries the Opening Shot perk, while his Dead Man’s Tale packs Fourth Time’s the Charm.
Xur Location
Head to Nessus and use the Watcher’s Grave transmat zone to find Xur this week. When you arrive, hop on your sparrow and head north toward the exit of the area. Look for a big tree with pink moss on the right side of the area. Climb up onto its big, flat branch, where you can reach Xur.
Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
Xur Exotic and Legendary Items
Xur brings The Queensbreaker as his Exotic weapon this week–which he was selling just a couple weeks ago. The linear fusion rifle can still rip some pretty great headshots at various ranges, but it hasn’t been part of the meta for quite a while. If you’re not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don’t already own from the world drop pool. Just note that you can only buy one per week, and the engram is specific to the character class who buys it–so if you’re trying to get a new Titan helmet, don’t buy the engram with your Warlock. He also has the new Xenology Quest, which rewards an Exotic Cipher you can use to purchase Exotics from either Xur or the Tower’s Monument to Lost Lights. The quest requires you to either complete Strikes or win matches in Gambit and the Crucible.

Alongside changes in his location, Xur’s inventory also rotates weekly. That means it’s worth visiting him each time to check out his new weapons and rolls on Exotic and Legendary armor. You can visit him any time between his arrival Friday and the weekly reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET the following Tuesday when Xur departs the Solar System.
Xur’s Hawkmoon this week comes with the Opening Shot perk and a very high Handling stat. That’s a solid PvP option, although definitely not as cracked as the Hawkmoon Xur was selling last week, so if you’re not hurting for a good Hawkmoon, you can probably pass on this one. For Dead Man’s Tale, Xur offers Fourth Time’s the Charm, which is a decent option but tends to be better for PvE than PvP.
In the Legendary weapons department, Xur hasn’t really brought the goods. His Nature of the Beast hand cannon offers some okay PvP perks with Snapshot Sights and Rangefinder, but it’s a middling combination, especially with a Handling Masterwork. The Vulpecula hand cannon is another mutant weapon, sporting an unusual Impact Masterwork to go with Tunnel Vision and Opening Shot–a weird, maybe decent roll, but more of an oddity than anything since the Impact Masterwork won’t increase the weapon’s damage. And it’s always a good idea to pick up Falling Guillotine, one of the best swords in the game, if you don’t have one. This one’s not what’s usually considered a god roll, but it’s hard to come up with a bad Guillotine, and with Tireless Blade, Surrounded, and an Impact Masterwork, it’s not too shabby.
Xur is selling the Wild Hunt legendary armor set this week, which was available during the Season of the Hunt. Xur has a few great pieces in here that you’ll want to pick up, especially if you want a high Resilience stat for PvE activities.

The Queenbreaker (Linear Fusion Rifle)
It might not be the darling of Gambit anymore, but The Queenbreaker can still be a fun long-range gun for sniping enemies. The linea fusion rifle sports two scopes, one for shorter ranges and one for longer shots, as well as either Hip-Fire Grip or Quickdraw, making it a versatile weapon for accuracy. The bolt it fires will kill Guardians with a headshot, and if you don’t land a precision shot, it’ll blind your target instead.
Knucklehead Radar (Hunter)
It’s hard for Knucklehead Radar to supplant some other PvP Exotic mainstays, like Wormhusk Crown, St0mp-EE5, or Fr0st-EE5, but Knucklehead Radar can be a fun one in the Crucible if you don’t have need for one of those others. The helmet maintains your radar while you’re aiming down sights, allowing you to get intelligence about your opponents while you lie in wait for them. Crouch, and your radar is enhanced, making hunting down your foes and outsmarting them even easier.

Armamentarium (Titan)
Season of the Haunted’s tweaks have made Resilience an extremely important stat for PvE activities, and with Solar 3.0, grenades are also extremely useful–and Armamentarium hits both marks. The Exotic offers a second grenade charge, which can be great for Titans making Sunspots and Solar elemental wells all over the battlefield. This is a great roll, so don’t sleep on it.

Starfire Protocol (Warlock)
Speaking of amped-up grenades, Warlocks also have an Exotic that’s great for Solar 3.0 in Starfire Protocol. It gives you an additional charge for your Fusion grenades, pairing extremely well with Solar elemental well builds. Grenade kills give you Rift damage, and damage from weapons boosted by your empowering rifts give you grenade energy, for great synergy–equip Classy Restoration to healing boosts off your empowering rifts as well. This isn’t a super-high roll, but the stat breakdown is a strong one and worth considering.
