Where Is Xur Today? (October 7-11) – Destiny 2 Exotic Items And Xur Location Guide

Xur has returned to Destiny 2 for another weekend, bringing a new selection of Exotic weapons and armor to the Solar System. It’s handy stuff, especially if you’re planning to enter the Trials of Osiris for some PvP action.

This week you can find Xur in the Tower, in the Hangar area. For his weapon, Xur is offering Two-Tailed Fox. Hunters can pick up the Wormhusk Crown helmet; Titans can grab the ACD/0 Feedback Fence gauntlets; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Contraverse Hold gauntlets.

Xur Location

Spawn in using the Courtyard transmat zone in the Tower to find Xur this week. Head left and down the stairs to enter the Hangar section, then hang another left. Make your way to the north end of the area and look for a staircase that will take you onto a catwalk, where Xur is waiting.

Your option for Hawkmoon this week is Opening Shot, a reliable way to kickstart some precision damage that can feed into the Paracausal Shot perk. Otherwise, this week’s version of the famed hand cannon is only worth grabbing if you haven’t got it already. Dead Man’s Tale comes with Fourth Time’s the Charm, another precision-favoring perk that’s actually pretty great. With this perk, rapidly landing precision hits will return two rounds to the magazine, which means that it’ll feed in quite nicely to the Cranial Spike perk.

Two-Tailed Fox

There’s no shortage of good Exotic rocket launchers in Destiny 2, and while Two-Tailed Fox can’t stand up to Gjallarhorn, this weapon is still fun to use. The Twintails perk lets you fire two rockets, one Void and one Solar, and they’ll both track a single target for a quick round of demolition. Not the best rocket launcher around, but it’s certainly not the worst and it’s a great all-rounder.

Wormhusk Crown

Wormhusk Crown hasn’t featured too prominently this season, as its primary perk Burning Souls is average at best. Dodging gives a small health and shield bump, but with other options and seasonal mods at play, you’d be better off using your single Exotic armor slot for something that’s more effective in combat and synergizes well with your subclass.

ACD/0 Feedback Fence

These Titan Exotic gauntlets have some great potential with the right Arc 3.0 subclass build. Point-Contact Impact Brace has proven to be very disappointing this season, and it’s not unusual to see Guardians equipping Synthoceps or Wormgod Caress. ACD/0 Feedback Fence is still great, especially if you’re planning to wade into enemy fire and use the Fury Conductors perk to unleash devastating explosive energy from any melee attacks landed on you. Pair it with Thunderclap, enter a Hive den, and you’ll be good to go with this Exotic.

Contraverse Hold

Most Warlocks have been using Fallen Sunstar this season for Arc 3.0 builds, so Contraverse Hold won’t be too tempting right now. Designed for Warlocks running a Void subclass build, the Chaotic Exchanger perk allows you to resist damage while charging a grenade and get grenade energy back on each kill. It’s not a bad Exotic, but it’s a very specific piece of armor for a one-track build.

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on Friday. Bungie doesn’t mark Xur’s location on the in-game map, so it can be easy to miss him if you’re not aware he exists. He only comes to specific locations, of which now there are only three: the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
