The biggest discount can be found on Seagate’s 2TB expansion card, which is on sale for $230 (was $280). Seagate’s 1TB model is down to $130 (was $150), though Amazon is currently sold out. However, those who want 1TB of additional storage should probably opt for the WD Black C50, as it’s on sale for $125 (was $150).
These officially licensed storage solutions rarely see discounts outside of major sales events, so it’s possible the offers will disappear after Cyber Monday. Seagate’s and Western Digital’s plug-and-play expansion cards are the only officially licensed storage devices for Xbox Series X|S that let you play current-gen games not stored on your Xbox’s internal SSD.

With either of these expansion cards, performance is indistinguishable from your Xbox’s native SSD, and it supports Quick Resume–allowing you to bounce between titles without delay. Both cards come with three-year limited warranties for peace of mind.
It’s important to stress that Seagate’s and Western Digital’s Xbox Expansion Cards are the only official options for expanding your storage without concessions. Though the Xbox Series X|S supports traditional portable drives, such as this discounted Starfield-themed Seagate drive, you can only store Xbox Series X|S games on external drives. To play the games, you’ll have to transfer them to your internal SSD. That’s why the expansion cards, which let you play all your games, are such notable deals.
