In terms of physical software sales, Nintendo still ruled the roost. Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8: Deluxe took top spots on the sales charts, with Grand Theft Auto V claiming third (contributing to its latest 140 million sales milestone). Spider-Man: Miles Morales still managed to make the top 10, while new release Hitman 3 squeezed into the top 20 despite a later January launch. The same wasn’t true for Xbox and PC exclusive, The Medium, however.
AMD CEO Lisa Su has indicated that production constraints will influence limited console stock until at least July 2021, while Microsoft has indicated that it expects Xbox Series X|S stock to remain limited for the forseeable future.
