During today’s PlayStation State Of Play presentation, Capcom debuted a new trailer for Street Fighter 6 which showed three new characters for the game’s roster: series veterans Zangief and Cammy, as well as newcomer Lily.
Zangief continues to use powerful suplexes and wrestling holds in his arsenal, with his super move incorporating his trademark Spinning Piledriver. Cammy’s quick and powerful arsenal of strikes is also on display, as she uses her Spiral Arrow technique as well as some new moves.
Newcomer Lily is a descendant of the Thunderfoot tribe, the same as T. Hawk from previous Street Fighter games. She uses massive clubs as weapons while she fights, and she is able to “speak with the spirits of nature, trusting in their guidance as she travels the globe” according to her official biography.
The three new additions bring the game’s starting roster to 18, and they are the final three characters to be revealed for the initial release of the game. No specific downloadable content plans have been revealed as of this writing.
Street Fighter 6 launches June 2 on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game will feature a full single-player story mode called World Tour, and it will introduce commentary from real-world Street Fighter personalities including Steve “Tasty_Steve” Scott and WWE wrestler Thea “Zelina Vega” Trinidad.
