Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom – How To Get The Ancient Hero's Aspect Armor

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ancient Hero’s Aspect is a very unique item. Not only is it the reward for one of the most grueling tasks in the game, but it’s also a full outfit that greatly changes your look. Here’s our guide to help you get the Ancient Hero’s Aspect in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Likewise, due to the nature of the item reward, this article contains minor spoilers.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Ancient Hero’s Aspect reward for all 152 Shrines completed

Yes, you got that right. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ancient Hero’s Aspect is the final reward after completing all 152 Shrines in the game. Normally, finishing a Shrine challenge nets you a Light of Blessing, whereupon Rauru’s spirit tells you to go on your merry way. You can even skip this type of cutscene since it’ll happen every single time.

However, once you’ve completed the last of 152 Shrines in your game, regardless of whatever one that might be, Rauru’s remark will be different:

Let’s go listen to him, eh? Return to the Temple of Time in the Great Sky Island. Remember that starting area from hundreds of hours earlier? Well, go ahead and use the Ukouh Shrine to make things faster.

Inside the building, don’t forget to use your Recall ability on the waterwheel to reach the top. Once there, you’ll notice a chest behind the Goddess Statue. Open it to receive this cool reward.

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ancient Hero’s Aspect is a full outfit. That means it acts as the helmet, chestpiece, and legwear. It has a +12 armor rating, but it can be upgraded, too.

What makes it stupendous is that it also changes Link’s appearance. Rather than the regular Hylian warrior you’ve come to know, he’ll look like a red-headed Zonai, essentially a humanoid dragon-lizard hybrid, complete with a tail.

In any case, this is definitely a reward that you want to obtain eventually in your campaign. As such, you’re bound to go Shrine-hunting and puzzle-solving. Don’t forget to take a look at our Shrine locations and solutions guide while you’re at it.
