The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Clues to the Sky main quest takes place in Zora’s Domain in the region of Lanayru. The once-pristine areas are now covered in sludge, and you’ll hear of clues that might aid the people in their plight. Here’s our guide to help you complete Clues to the Sky in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
How to complete Clues to the Sky in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Clues to the Sky quest has other tasks that are required or are done in conjunction. Here are a couple of examples:
Sidon of the Zora/The Broken Slate – You’ll meet Sidon in Mipha Court, which should be marked on your map. He’ll ask you to find Jiahto, who’s to the northwest. Once you arrive at the location, grab the slate off to the side of the cave entrance, then slot it into the wall carving.Restoring the Zora Armor – Yona wants you to find an Ancient Arowana, but no other hints are provided at the start. Later, though, you’ll find one in the fountain pool at the top of the steps in Mipha Court.
King Dorephan and the Land of the Sky Fish Droplet
The Pristine Sanctum
In any case, the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Clues to the Sky quest begins with you looking for King Dorephan. There are some kids near the throne room, but they’ll shoo you away if you get too close. Talk to the guard, then crouch-walk behind the kids. Press the A button to listen in on their conversation. You’ll learn that the king is in the Pristine Sanctum, which has an entrance near a clean waterfall.
The Pristine Sanctum itself is slightly northwest of Mipha Court. You’ll find the waterfall here, and you just need to glide down to reach the king.
The Sky Fish Floating Island
King Dorephan will hand over 5x King’s Scale. After reporting back to Sidon, he tells you about a “land of the sky fish,” which has a “water bridge that connects to the realm of the Zora.”
The place in question is actually viewable from where Link and Sidon are talking. It’s the floating island in the distance (which is, naturally, shaped like a fish). To reach it, you can either use the Zora Armor, which lets you swim up on waterfalls, or various Zonai Devices, such as balloons, rockets, or planes.
The Water Droplet
At the top, clear out the gunk and destroy some obstacles that might be blocking your view. You’ll want to go to the southeastern edge of the island and continue facing southwest. Look slightly below you, and you’ll notice a rock formation that’s shaped like a droplet.
This time, aim with your bow and attach a King’s Droplet to the arrow. Shoot the middle of the droplet, and you’ll get a cutscene.
This completes the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Clues to the Sky quest. There are still other sections, such as a quick battle against a Sludge Like, as well as a short trek through an abandoned facility. Eventually, though, you’ll head to the Sky region, whereupon Link and Sidon will tackle the Water Temple puzzles and the Mucktorok boss fight.
