Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Gets Big Discount At Walmart

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the best Nintendo Switch games and GameSpot’s pick for the best Zelda game of all time. It also happens to be the only $70 game Nintendo has released on Switch. If you’ve been waiting for a good deal, Walmart has a nice one right now. You can snag the physical edition of Tears of the Kingdom for just $51. This is very close to the lowest price we’ve seen all year, and we have yet to see Tears of the Kingdom for less than $48 since launching last May.

Our Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom review gave it a rare 10/10, praising many aspects of the epic sequel, including its sprawling open-world gameplay, innovative building mechanics, and remarkable physics system that leads to some magical moments.

“While this newest entry in the Zelda franchise is most recognizably similar to that 2017 game, it builds upon the foundation so thoroughly and transformationally that it feels like a revelation,” wrote critic Steve Watts. “This is The Legend of Zelda at its finest, borrowing the best pieces and qualities from across the franchise’s history and creating something new that is emotionally resonant, captivating, and endlessly rewarding.”

To go with your game, consider picking up the Tears of the Kingdom collector’s edition hardcover guide for $27 (down from $45) to help you explore every corner of Hyrule. For a cheaper alternative, you’ll find the paperback standard edition for $19 (down from $30).

Tears of the Kingdom isn’t the only Zelda game on sale today. In fact, all four of the mainline Zelda games that have been released in physical format on Switch are available for great prices at Walmart. You can get the Link’s Awakening remake and Skyward Sword HD for $40 each. Meanwhile, Breath of the Wild is discounted to $45.
