Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom – Ride The Giant Horse Ishokin Shrine Guide

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ride the Giant Horse quest takes you all over the region of Faron. Apart from looking for the creature, you’ll also unlock a Shrine. Here’s our guide to help you complete the Ride the Giant Horse quest for the Ishokin Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How to complete Ride the Giant Horse for Ishokin Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ride the Giant Horse quest comes from an NPC named Baddek. You’ll find him, as well as a Sky Crystal, along a rocky hillside in Faron Grasslands. Once you approach him, he’s not gonna let you have the crystal that easily. Instead, he wants you to bring a Giant Horse that he’s never seen before.

Baddek tells you to talk to people in Highland Stable, which is further east. You should also spot Utsushok Shrine, as that’s the main fast travel point for that landmark.

Anyway, the people there will mention a large white stallion. There were also two people who were after it, and they went to Horse God Bridge.

From Highland Stable, keep going east and cross Horse God Bridge. You’ll see the two trackers resting at a campsite. The stallion is just further ahead at the end of the ravine.

Once you get close enough, press the left thumbstick to crouch, then approach it stealthily. Press A to mount it, and get ready to spam the L button as it tries to toss you off the saddle. Alternatively, you can shoot an arrow with an Ice Fruit attached. This will freeze the creature, so you can just stay near it, spamming the A button to ready the mounting minigame.

Now that you have the mount, you can bring it to Highland Stable so it can be registered. This way, you board and call it whenever you please. Of course, the actual task isn’t done yet. You still need to return to Baddek at the Faron Grasslands hillside area.

Once you’re done, grab the Sky Crystal and bring it to the pedestal, which is a short distance to the south. This will complete the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ride the Giant Horse quest. It will cause the Ishokin Shrine to materialize, a Rauru’s Blessing that has a Topaz inside the chest.

This is but one of many activities that you can do in the game. Don’t forget to take a look at our Shrine locations main guide for all the other challenges that you can tackle. Likewise, since you just went there a while ago, we suggest handling the Utsushok Shrine puzzle, too.
