How to get the full Zonaite armor set in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zonaite armor set consists of the Zonaite Helm, Zonaite Waistguard, and Zonaite Shin Guards. We discuss each item’s location in this guide.

Zonaite Helm

Location: Lightcast Island – Lightcast Island can be reached by wearing the Zora Armor that you got from the Lanayru regional main quest, as that allows you to climb up waterfalls. Look for the waterfall that reaches up to the sky in Tabantha Frontier. Then, once you’ve reached the top, you’ll need to solve a puzzle involving beams and mirrors. You can learn more in our Lightcast Island/Ga-Ahisas Shrine guide.

Zonaite Waistguard

Location: Zonaite Forge Island – Similar to the above, you’ll also need the Zora Armor to climb up a waterfall. The one that you’re looking for is in the Necluda region. We discuss these steps further in our Zonaite Forge Island/Yansamin Shrine guide.

Now, assuming you’re already done with that part, check behind Yansamin Shrine and you’ll notice an odd structure of sorts. Throw an Ice Fruit or Splash Fruit at the lava flows to create an igneous rock platform. Then, use Ascent to phase through the structure. You’ll end up in a small nook that has a chest. This nets you one piece of the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zonaite armor set.

Zonaite Shin Guards

Location: Akkala Sky Mine Puzzle – The Akkala Sky Mine can be reached via the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower. After launching into the air, use devices or look for floating islands that can take you to the Sky Mine. You’ll see the Gikaku Shrine here, as well as another terminal.

Interact with the terminal to activate the push block. Use the push block (and a couple more after that) to reach the topmost island. There, you’ll have a clear view of the “Death Star” in this area. Likewise, the island has several stone blocks/cubes).

The idea is to rotate the wheel so that the push block is facing the Death Star. Then, place a cube on it, so that it gets launched all the way into the Death Star’s opening. It can take a few tries, so just keep at it.

If you do it correctly, go ahead and have Link get launched, too. Inside, place the cube on the plate to make the Death Star rotate. Then, cast Ascend to go back outside. Look for a second opening underneath. There’s a chest there that has the item that you’re looking for.

Each piece of the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zonaite Armor grants +4 defense (for a total of +12). Its perk, meanwhile, provides a boost to your energy, which is great when you have multiple Zonai Devices that are active.

There are numerous mechanics and facets to learn in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. For more information, you can visit our guides hub.
