The Like a Dragon series returns next year with a new pirate-themed entry, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The swashbuckling spinoff will star the legendary Yakuza wildcard, Goro Majima, and marks the first time the fan-favorite side character finally gets his own game. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii launches February 28, 2025, and preorders are now open for three editions of the game, including a $130 Collector’s Edition.

Preordering Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will get you a set of unique in-game items based on the series’ newest protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga. These include Ichiban and his iconic pet crawfish Nancy as crew members for your ship, plus two outfits for Majima to wear based on Ichiban’s appearances in Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Like a Dragon: A Yakuza Pirate in Hawaii will follow the now ex-Yakuza Majima after getting shipwrecked on a remote island in the Pacific. Stricken with a case of amnesia, he reinvents himself as a pirate captain and sets sail to recover his memories, find a legendary treasure, and clash with cutthroat criminals on his voyage. It’s not long before Majima assembles his own crew. Similar to the other recent Like a Dragon spinoffs, The Man who Erased His Name and Like a Dragon: Ishin!, A Yakuza Pirate in Hawaii will focus on action combat more akin to the series’ earlier titles.
