This Wolverine Controller Is Caked The Hell Up, Too

If you thought one “designed by Deadpool” controller featuring a plump rear panel was bad enough, then you ain’t seen nothing yet, bub. Ahead of the release of Deadpool and Wolverine on July 26, the loud-mouthed mercenary has unleashed a second controller inspired by the X-man, Wolverine. And yes, it also features an eye-catching design that makes it nearly impossible to properly grip.

The Wolverine controller is decked out in the signature colors of the most-popular mutant, as it has a primarily yellow finish, a few blue accents, and a textured surface similar to Logan’s costume in his big screen return. The controller probably isn’t made out of adamantium, and since this is a one-off design for an Xbox sweepstakes, we’re waiting to see if claws pop out when the unlucky winner grips it too tightly. The firm rear end is also removable in case you want to actually use the controller.

Meanwhile, Deadpool fans can also check out the Xbox Cheeky Controller sweepstakes for a more-substantial prize. In addition to a Deadpool-inspired controller equipped with a plastic set of gluteus maximus muscles, this prize also includes a special Deadpool and Wolverine Xbox system and a stand for the console featuring foam katanas. The sweepstakes has already started and runs until August 11.

With its release just days away, the Deadpool and Wolverine marketing machine has generated a ton of trailers and teasers for the film so far. While it looks like several big surprises have already been spoiled–like the return of Sabretooth–you’ll want to avoid the final Deadpool and Wolverine trailer, as it contains a massive spoiler. The film will feature a number of celebrity cameos, but star Ryan Reynolds has already debunked one conspiracy about who’s playing Lady Deadpool.
