Gravity Perks Unique ID is a Gravity Forms perk that generates unique identifiers for form submissions. Each entry receives a unique ID based on your configured format — sequential numbers, random alphanumeric strings, or custom patterns — useful for tracking orders, tickets, registrations, and any submission that needs a reference number.
ID Format Options
Configure the format of generated IDs to match your business requirements. Choose from sequential numbering (starting from any number), random alphanumeric strings of configurable length, or custom patterns that combine prefixes, dates, and sequential counters.
Format Examples
- Sequential — 1001, 1002, 1003 (configurable starting number and increment)
- Alphanumeric — A7X9B2, K3M8P1 (random characters of set length)
- Custom pattern — ORD-2026-0001, TKT-A7X9B2 (prefix + date + counter combinations)
- UUID format — standard UUID strings for system integration requirements
Usage Scenarios
Order confirmation numbers, support ticket IDs, event registration codes, invoice numbers, application reference numbers, and any scenario where submissions need unique, trackable identifiers. The generated ID can be included in notification emails, confirmations, and merged into other fields.
Merge Tag Integration
The unique ID is available as a Gravity Forms merge tag, allowing it to appear in notification emails, confirmation messages, and other form outputs. Entries can be searched and filtered by their unique ID in the Gravity Forms entry list.
