Description

AffiliateWP Allow Own Referrals removes the default restriction that prevents affiliates from earning commissions on their own purchases. By default, AffiliateWP blocks self-referrals to prevent abuse, but this add-on enables the feature for programs where self-referral makes sense — such as loyalty discounts, employee purchase programs, or affiliate incentive structures.

How It Works

When enabled, affiliates can use their own referral link to make purchases and earn a commission on those orders. The referral is tracked and processed through the standard AffiliateWP workflow, appearing in the affiliate’s earnings and the admin referral log just like any other referral.

Configuration Options

• Enable self-referrals globally for all affiliates
• Standard AffiliateWP commission rates apply to self-referrals

Use Cases

Self-referral functionality is commonly used for employee discount programs where staff members who are also affiliates can earn on their own purchases.
